We at Prime Buchholz unequivocally condemn the actions that resulted in the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and so many people of color before them.  We join the many in our nation who are mourning for them, their families, and all those in our communities who face discrimination based on the color of their skin.

It is not enough to denounce racism and oppression; we must work to eliminate both.  Prime Buchholz stands firmly by our fellow Americans who are exercising their right to peacefully protest rampant discrimination and violence against America’s black and brown communities.

In addition, we are asking ourselves, our families, and our communities to be part of the movement toward ensuring equal rights, opportunities, and safety for all in America.  To that end, we pledge to continue to hold ourselves accountable as a founding member of the Diversity Workforce Coalition and within our internal Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion Council.  While being a strong and steadfast ally and providing an equitable, safe, and supportive work environment have always been top priorities, we believe recent events highlight the vital nature of this work.  We will continue our efforts to address diversity and equality through various initiatives, including our recruitment and hiring practices, search and support for diverse investment managers, and evaluation of diversity efforts across all of our investment managers and vendors—but we recognize there is more work left to be done.

We acknowledge that our country is reeling from these latest tragedies, as well as the violence and chaos that have followed.  That said, we aim both in word and in action to effect lasting change and unity.  While these are trying times for many individuals, it is by standing up together against racism and injustice that we are best equipped to end them.
